Error Code: LG AC F1, F2, F3

Reason: This implies the fact that the Air conditioner is working at fan mode and the numbers indicated imply the fan speed. This way, one can be assured that the rest of the functions of the Air Conditioner is working just fine.

Error Code: LG Air Conditioner P2 or FL Codes

Reason: When facing this error code display, you must understand that the water collection tank has arrived at its full capacity. For this, the simple solution is to empty the water tank, and you are done.

Error Code: P2 or FL – Water Tank Full Error

Reason: This indicates the water tank issue and is detrimental to the model and type of the Air conditioner. This is also an indication of the fact that the drain pan located in the outdoor unit is full. In such a situation, most models are designed so that the slinger fan above the drain pan will empty it. This occurs by slinging the water off to the condenser, and the heat is discharged as a result. Most times, the water accumulation is avoided.

Error Code: P2 or FL Code Keeps Recurring

Once again, this is a water overload tank issue that can occur in an LG Air conditioner. When this happens, you can simply tilt the AC after you have removed the drain, Port Cap.
However, if and when this error keeps reoccurring, when your AC mode is in ‘COOL,’ then it means that the Humidity in the room is more; nonetheless, your Air conditioner is alright, and you do not need to splurge a heavy amount for servicing!
To fix this problem by yourself, you can simply set the fan mode to ‘LOW.’ Hence, you do not have to drain your AC unit repeatedly. Shutting the windows and doors also helps maintain the proper functioning of the Air conditioner.
If the DRY mode occurs in the unit repeatedly, you need to remove the moisture from the air. For this, simply change the setting to COOL and reduce the elimination of the moisture.

Error Code: P2 or FL Code Without the Water Draining Out

In this case, it means that your Air conditioner requires genuine servicing, and tilting the unit to drain the water does not helps.

Error Code: P2 or FL Code Does Not Clear After Draining the Water

In case this error occurs, you need to reset the AC unit. For this, unplug the unit and keep it that way for approximately 10 minutes. After this, plug it back and restart your appliance. If the error code reoccurs, you need a serviceman to check it out for you.

P2 or FL Code Displays, and the Unit Does Not Shut Off

When this error code keeps reoccurring, it means that your Air conditioner requires repairing by a professional.

E1 or CH02 – Auto Stop Protection Error

Cause: this implies the fact that the open circuit in the indoor pipe sensor results in an Auto-stop protection error. 

Solution: You need professional help with this one. 

E2 or CH01 – Auto Stop Protection Error

Cause: much similar to the E1 or the CH02 error.

Solution: once again, professional help is required in this case.

E3 or CH03 – No Refrigerant

Cause: This error indicates that your Air conditioner is out of refrigerant. 

Solution: Professional help needed.

E4 – Defrost Mode

Cause: This indicates that your Air conditioner unit has entered Defrost mode. Not an Error code as such, but it does require your attention nonetheless. This usually happens when Ice is detected on the Evaporator located behind the Grille. After the complete defrosting, normal operation is resumed.

E5 – Water Tank Full

This is among the LG Split AC Error Codes and indicates that the water tank is full. For this, the user can simply remove the drain cap and drain away the water. Once done, fix back the cap and restart the Air conditioner.

HI or LO – Temperature Indication

This indicates the indoor temperature. In case the temperature is more than 36 degree Celsius the unit indicates HI; in case of 10 degrees and below, it indicates LO. So, the user can easily increase or reduce the temperature accordingly.

SP/CP/PO Codes – Function Codes

This is the code displayed when the Air conditioner is set to ‘Power Cooling.’ However, if the AC is of a different kind, like that of IG AC error code or any other model, this can be represented as Super Cool Power, Turbo-Z, or Ice Cool Power.

ON- Function Code

This represents the Air Purification Mode on sole operation on your unit. This also displays the dust and the freshness of the air levels.

CH44 – Sensor Error

Cause: This occurs when the outdoor unit sensor is disconnected or shorted. 

Solution: Professional help is required.

CH32 – High Discharge Temperature

Cause: This error code is displayed in case of high discharge temperatures. This implies the fact that the unit has low refrigerant levels. 

Solution: Professional help is required. 

CH12 – Indoor Pipe Temperature Sensor Error

Cause: This error code is displayed when the indoor pipe temperature measures a temperature out of range. This is more of a protective measure. 

Solution: Professional help is required.

CH05 or CH53 – Communication Error Code

Cause: This error indicates the lack of communication between the IDU and ODU. This can be because of the disconnection of the cable, circuit faults, T-phase line disconnection, or insufficient distance between the power and the communication cables. 

Solution: Professional help is required. 

CH38 – Low Refrigerant Detection

Cause: This detects a low level of refrigerant and is protective. 

Solution: The reason can be electrical instability. For this, one can simply unplug the device and restart it after five minutes. If the error persists, then you need to get some professional help. 

CA or CH10 – Faulty discharge Thermistor Error

Cause: Occurs when the discharge temperature reaches more than 130 degrees C. 

Solution: Get professional help.
